Marker #2!

I found this marker near the front of the park,  the other marker below was located near the back.  If the two markers are indeed for footers the coaster looks to hug the WEST/SOUTH side of the park.

Marker #1?

Is this the first marker for the Zippin Pippin?  Time will tell.

Site Prep has begun

Construction has begun as crew's began preparing the site.  An official ground breaking will take place next Wednesday August 25th.

Green Bay still taking bids for Zippin Pippin wooden framing

The city of Green Bay is taking bids for the building of the wooden frame for the Zippin Pippin.  Contractors will also be responsible for constructing stairs, an exit ramp, a transfer station and two small wood-frame buildings for the roller coaster. The construction of the wooden frame will begin by the end of September in hops to have the coaster open by May 7th, 2011.

Zippin Pippin roller coaster work to begin 8/16/10 at Bay Beach

Construction on the Zippin Pippin roller coaster will start on Monday August 16th.  The first phase is for the footers for the coaster which will cost $513,000. Work on the concrete footers will be completed by December 3rd.
